Introduction To R - 2026
The Bioinformatics Resource Center invites you to the following event as a part of our bioinformatics learning series.
Topic: Introduction To R
Date: 02/04/26 & 02/05/26
Time: 09:30am-4:30 pm
Location: Weiss 305
Course Description: R is one of the most popular coding languages in the sciences due to its large community and ease of use. These sessions will be great for entry into coding with R for beginners.
Course Goals: By the end of the sessions, we hope you will feel comfortable working with simple datasets, i.e., count tables, and be able to create plots.
Course Recommended Requirements: This is an introductory course, so anybody should be able to take part. That said, we would recommend that you have an idea for how you will use R going forward so that you can apply the skills you learn to something you are working on.
These are in-person training sessions. Sessions will be a mixture of presentations and live coding. Participants are encouraged to code along with the instructor.
